![]() The Seniors Section is open to Club members aged 55 and over. The subscription is just £3.00, payable from January each year. Members who have paid their subscriptions are eligible for all our competitions, as well as the 34 friendly matches against other local clubs that are played each year. Subscriptions can be put in an envelope and dropped in the seniors box, in the changing room foyer. Make sure you write your name on the envelope! You will receive your membership card soon after. From spring to autumn we hold monthly medal and stableford competitions, usually on Mondays. Volunteering sheets for the inter-club friendlies are posted on the seniors board and anyone who writes in his name will be considered for selection. These matches are tremendous fun and the best-value way of playing other courses – once you’ve played a match or two at home! Players of any handicap are welcome to take part. Details of all these events are in the Club diary. The section also holds away-days, typically three per year, as well as Captain’s charity events, details on boards at the relevant times of year, while in the winter season we run league and knockout competitions. New members looking for a game are very welcome to join the Tuesday and Thursday roll-up group, the TATS. Just turn up a little before 8.00 and introduce yourself. Happy Golfing! Jim Tyler, Open to Members who have reached the age of 55 years unless stated.
